<---A fine recording!
Bix Loves His Holton!
Tram said that Bix
had the finest custom
made
Clarke Model
Holton that they
could make. He also
said that Bix was
very proud of this
horn.
DID YOU KNOW? A couple of
different sources mentioned that when Bix died,
they found two cornets in his room. One was a
Bach and the other was a well worn Conn
Victor. The Bach made it back to the family,
but someone came by and stole the Conn Victor.
There was also a record in his room. All that's
known about it is that it had a blue label.
Pops Was Every Cartoonist
Dream.

This is the Atlanta concert that was followed
by a party thrown by Bix's sister Mary
Louise. She fell in love with the way Jack
Fulton sang "Melancholy Baby".
The review of this concert is on the right

"Melancholy Baby" looks like it was a big hit
in the concert as well!
Who could be a better plug for Kazoo
Lips CD's than the Mound City Blue
Blowers? And anyone who thinks that
Eddie Condon wasn't one of the finest
rhythm guitar players in the business
should have a hole drilled in their head
to let the sap out. A true hero of jazz.
And a hell of a nice guy!
