person who I would have
liked to have met, was
the one who thought of
following Bee Palmer
with HELLEN KELLER!!
Her act is called "OH
BEE". I'll bet she heard
that quite often!

They had a contest in Davenport in 1924
for the girls to put together the
perfect man. Those famous Beiderbecke
chops won 1st place.

 bring To bring Jazz to the Symphony,
and Bix wanted to bring the Symphony to
Jazz. The result was wonderful!

of Major Bowes. He should have been gonged for
this article. But it does sound like a pretty good
band!
1900. The Beiderbecke family was
always crazy about baseball. Every
time I used to call Burnie on the phone,
the conversation always end up being
about baseball. He said that Bix was
the same way!
